Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 - concerning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH), which was formally implemented in the European Union on June 1, 2007, whose objects are substances, mixtures and articles including tens of thousands of chemicals and various downstream products used in chemicals sold in EU market.

According to Article 67(1) of REACH Regulation, ‘A substance on its own, in a mixture or in an article, for which Annex XVII contains a restriction shall not be manufactured, placed on the market or used unless it complies with the conditions of that restriction.’

Therefore, enterprises should not only pay attention to the content of SVHC substance in products, but also ensure that products meet the relevant restricted substance content requirements of Annex XVII of REACH regulation.
