UPDATES 0F IEC 62321 TEST STANDARD

IEC 62321 provided test methods  of certain substances  in electronic and electrical products.The first edition of IEC 62321:2008 was a single ‘stand-alone’ standard that includes an introduction,an overview of test methods,a mechanical sample preparation as well as various test method. May 17,2013IEC  62321: 2008 is split into a series of standards,while introducing new testing methods or apparatus, details below.

nIEC 62321-1  Introduction and overview

File Explanation:Replaced the first to four sections of IEC62321:2008

Main changes:Basically the same

nIEC 62321-2  Disassembly,disjunction and mechanical sample preparation

File Explanation:Replaced the fifth section of IEC62321:2008

Main changes:Basically the same

nIEC 62321-3-1  Screening - Lead,mercury,cadmium,total chromium and total bromine using X-ray fluorescence spectrometry

nIEC 62321-3-2   Screening - Total bromine in polymers and electronics by      Combustion - Ion Chromatography

Main changes:Hexavalent chromium pretreatment and the machine tests still the same.Determination reference:below 0.1ug/cm2 negative,above 0.13g/cm2 positive,0.1g/cm2~0.13g/cm2  inconclusive
